Puerto Rico Walking Tours is a Puerto Rican company that offers tours in the western area of Puerto Rico, with tours specially designed for Puerto Ricans to learn more about their history, art, and traditions without spending a lot of money. Below, I present a series of tours that I will be offering during this season, with details about dates, meeting points, schedules, and costs.

Discover Isabela: Its art, culture, and literature

Dates: This tour repeats every Wednesday at 4pm and Saturday at 9:30 am. This tour can be done as a private tour by contacting us directly.


Meeting point: Plaza Manuel Corchado y Juarbe in Isabela


On this tour, the guide Isabelina Silma takes you to explore the streets of Isabela and the town's culture.

  • Plaza Manuel Corchado y Juarbe: It has several sculptures, trees, and fountains. Iglesia San Antonio de Padua de Isabela: The church has beautiful stained glass windows; also, on Saturdays the Parish store opens with beautiful religious gifts.

  • Mural at the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito de Isabela: This mural was created by the art master Pedro Hernandez and illustrates the history and customs of Isabela.

  • Vibras Crystals: You will learn more about crystals, where they come from, and their healing abilities.

  • Libreria Tinta y Sol: This is the only illustrated book bookstore in Puerto Rico. It also sells books by Isabela writers and books printed in Isabela, as well as puppets.

  • Casa de la Cultura Isabelina - Cultural Center of Isabela where classes in Bomba, Plena, and Art are offered. It is also home Of the Isabelino Three Wise Men who also play live music. Mural of the Three Wise Men of Isabela

  • Casita Isabela - Puerto Rican typical food museum-restaurant. On its walls, it has works of art inspired by Isabela and a historical map of the town of Isabela.

    This tour is ideal for history and nature lovers. We will walk along the cliffs and learn about the pirate legends that once sailed these coasts. Additionally, we will enjoy stunning views and learn about the unique geography of the area. The merendero is a park in a forest on the cliff in the karst zone in northern Puerto Rico and has a beautiful view of the sea. You can observe different endemic and migratory birds such as the Black-crowned Night Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax) Yellow- and the Atlantea Tulita Butterfly

  • In this tour we first see the entrance of a Cave in Merendero and we talk about how caves are created. Then we start walking in the trail and we see the flowers and the plant that are host to one of the endemic butterfly species located in the Park. We will go to a cliff to observe the coast of Quebradillas. There might be a possibility of whale or marine animals' sightings. Next stop we well stop by a very curious tree shaped like an octopus and the guide will do a storytelling using puppets. Last stop will be a gazebo that overlooks the ocean with a beautiful view of Tunel guajataca. This tour can be done as a private tour or with a group. Aguadilla Art and Mural Tour

  • Plaza Rafael Hernández Marín -Our local certified tour guide will meet you at Plaza Rafael Hernandez Marin Plaza Rafael Hernandez ( Composer born in Aguadilla, songs Preciosa, Lamento Borincano, Campanitas de Cristal) In the plaza we can appreciate multiple sculptures and fountains honoring the composer songs.

  • Alcaldia de Aguadilla -This is Aguadilla Government building inside we will find sculptures honoring the town illustrious people as well mosaics and painting honoring the town history and we will find bathrooms

  • Iglesia San Carlos Borromeo

    Catholic Church with beautiful stained glass windows featuring Virgen del Carmen and San Carlos Borromeo.

  • Aguadilla Bay 

    We can see a beautiful view of Aguadilla Bay and the Atlantic Ocean as well as Aguada and Rincon and Desecheo Island. This bay is known by local fisher men and also from January to May Whales may visit. In early morning you will see Pelican birds. We will see local art like sculpture of the fishermen, letters of Aguadilla and 2 giant Murals made by local artist depicting a Pelican and a Hawk.

  • Museo de Arte de Aguadilla y del Caribe 

    Aguadilla Art Museum features art from local Aguadilla Artists as well as wood artisans. The house where the museum is located is over 100 years old. This museum is a nonprofit with each tour a donation will be made to the Aguadilla Art Museum
